Meet Dr. Ayush Mathur. He was born in India, raised in Kansas, and has called Virginia home for the past several years. Dr. Mathur earned his B.S. in Biology from George Mason University in 2018 and his D.D.S. from Howard University College of Dentistry in 2022. In 2023, he completed a hospital-based General Practice Residency at NYU Langone Hospital, a Level I trauma center in Brooklyn. There, he gained advanced experience in comprehensive, surgical, and emergency dentistry.
For Dr. Mathur, dentistry seemed meant to be since childhood. In the third grade, a teacher noticed how often he smiled and said he should become a dentist and help others smile too. That early encouragement still guides his approach today. Dr. Mathur is deeply passionate about dentistry and strives to make every visit as comfortable as possible. With clear communication and a calm, caring chairside manner, he strives to eliminate dental anxiety.
His goal is for every patient to have a healthy smile
Outside of the operatory, Dr. Mathur enjoys spending time with his family and friends, trying new restaurants, discovering great coffee shops, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs football team. One of his personal goals is to get his pilot’s license and learn to fly airplanes.
He is excited to serve the Winchester community and looks forward to creating long lasting smiles and relationships.
