Franita Joy D.D.S

Dr. Franita Joy was born and raised in India, where she earned her dental degree after five years of dental school with academic excellence at the Rajiv Gandhi University in 2011.

Topper in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Thereafter she practiced 2yrs as a General Dentist in private practice and in a reputed Hospital in India with Oral & Maxillofacial team.

Relocated to United States after marriage and completed a three-year International Dental Program at Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her DDS degree with scholarships.

While at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, was chosen as a Senior Teaching Assistant for Removable Prosthodontics, teaching second year dental students the basic skills necessary to become competent dentists.

Before Dental school worked as a dental assistant for 3yrs and did shadowing with other dentists.

In US did volunteering in Free Clinics, Mission of Mercy , Detention center and Jamaica. Dentistry is my passion and loves comprehensive dentistry and educating patients with the knowledge needed to maintain their hygiene and beautiful smiles.

Outside of dentistry she loves spending time with her husband and 5yr old daughter, travelling and playing games. Leisure times she likes to do Cake decorations, Cooking, Arts and crafts, Gardening and listening to music.
