I’ve been going to Tolley Dental for several years now. Always have a great experience each visit. Everyone is exceptional, nice, and knowledgeable! Always a pleasure to be seen here.

My experience with Dr. Tolley was one of my best dentist experiences I have ever had. Dr. Tolley is very concerned about your feelings and if you are feeling any pain. I will only let Dr. Tolley do all of my dental work, I love him that much. I hope all of his patients fell the same way I do. He is a very respected dentist.

I had my first visit today and it was a great experience. The staff was welcoming, the office was clean, and Dr Westover and Bethany took the time to explain everything clearly. I felt comfortable throughout the appointment and appreciated how kind and professional everyone was. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist!

I recently moved to this area and was concerned about starting with a new dentist after having such a wonderful one previously. I didn’t need to worry because I found an excellent one at Tolley Dental. Dr. Mitra Westover has been wonderful. She listens carefully to me and my concerns, she thoroughly explains the process, and does excellent work. I’ve had several procedures with her now and a very pleased with the outcome. I recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and competent dentist.

I had a fantastic experience at Tolley Dental of Winchester! From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming, professional, and made me feel comfortable. A special thank you to Sally, my dental hygienist. She took the time to explain everything she was doing, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood what was going on throughout the appointment. She never made me feel rushed, and her kindness and attention to detail really stood out. I was also impressed by the advanced technology they use. The 3D imaging of my mouth was incredible and made it so much easier to understand what they were seeing and explaining. It was a level of care and transparency I haven’t experienced at other dental offices. Overall, it was an outstanding visit from start to finish. I have been Dr.Tolley’s patient for six years and Emily has been my hygienist the entire time. Dr Tolley is very skilled, professional, and personable, always making sure I leave his office completely satisfied with any procedure. As with Dr. Tolley, I hit the jackpot having Emily as my hygienist. She is the best! Her calming, yet upbeat, manner truly makes it a pleasure to have my six month cleaning! Emily’s skill and meticulous attention to any dental and medical changes are consistent. An example; on my recent visit, Emily noticed on my chart that I had had major surgery five months prior, but I didn’t know that an antibiotic may be necessary before my cleaning. She called my dr.’s office, was told I did need an antibiotic, asked them to send in the prescription to be filled asap by my pharmacist, AND was able to rearrange her schedule to see me the following morning. Yes! Done!✅ I receive reminders for every appointment. I am always met with a genuine welcome by the receptionist on arrival and have never waited past my appointment time to be seen. I am received with the same genuine interest and kindness when I check out. Tolley Dental has a contemporary, refreshing style; the design allows each patient total privacy and comfort. The practice is well organized and ALWAYS spotless!! It is quite obvious Dr Tolley values his practice, staff, and patients to the highest degree. Best dentist in Winchester!

I had a pleasant experience with my prophylaxis done a few months ago but today I had a very different experience. I needed to have my temporary filling of a broken tooth removed and replaced with a crown. I did plenty of research about different crown materials prior to my appointment and even discussed the various options with the staff over the phone. When I arrived for my appointment today I told the dental assistant, Cathy, that I did not care purely about esthetics and wanted something that would last as long as possible. Everything I could find led to the best crown material for this application being one made from a noble or high-noble metal. Cathy told me that I could discuss my options with the dentist, Dr. Mathur, later and then tried to persuade me to go with a ceramic e-max crown. She prepared a treatment plan for this material, before the dentist even saw me, and had me sign some paperwork so I could begin the treatment. When Dr. Mathur came in, instead of discussing my options, he went straight to anesthesia and then began grinding away my tooth. After all the work was completed and the temporary crown was put in place Cathy told me I was ready to go and she would escort me to the front desk. I reminded her that I still wanted to discuss what type of material my crown was going to be made from so she left to get Dr. Mathur. He came back in and exclaimed "Oh, you want gold?!?" as if this was his first time hearing of my request. I explained that I did not specifically want gold and that my insurance plan does not actually cover a "high-noble" metal crown so I wanted to consider a noble metal crown. He falsely stated that any crown containing gold would be considered "high-noble", leading me to understand that my own dentist may simply be uninformed about the materials or just not deal with them very often. I do not find ignorance to be an excuse for a professional to try to pass over a patient's requests, especially one that is so expensive and should, in theory, last a very long time. Knowing that my own dentist was not familiar with the intricacies of what I was asking for I simply decided to opt for zirconia instead of the e-max they were trying to push on me. I really had higher expectations from this dental office based on my previous appointment but I will probably be looking to find somewhere else in the future. I hope that the installation of my permanent crown goes smoothly and that this material, which I reluctantly chose due to my dentist's unfamiliarity with other options, will last a long time.

Beautiful place, very friendly staff. I do not have dental insurance, therefore this place is entirely too expensive. I have been there 3 times (just for cleanings). First visit was $100, second visit was over $200, third and most recent visit was over $400!

It gives me great pleasure to say what a remarkable dentist Dr. Mitra Westover is. For the past three years, she has been my dentist and throughout this time the care she has brought to me has been exceptional. Most recently, over a weekend, she went above and beyond, checking my chart and then engaging me in a series of texts to allay any concerns I was experiencing. At the time, I was out of town and her obvious concern was much appreciated. In addition to her professional determination to secure the best interests for her patients, Dr. Westover brings a level of personal warmth to her relations with them. The combination, for those fortunate enough to have Dr. Westover as their dentist, brings both care and comfort that is as welcome as it is remarkable.

I had a tooth break and was looking for a dentist to repair the tooth. I first tried the dentist my wife was using. They wouldn’t fix the tooth but extracted the tooth. I have a partial bridge and asked them if they could get a tooth added to my bridge. They said that they don’t do dentures and recommend another place that specializes in dentures. That place would only do it if they had provided the original denture. I found Tolley Dental on a web search. What a great find! They took X rays, cleaned my teeth, filled 2 cavities, did the required impressions and sent my denture to the lab to get another tooth added. This was all done in 3 appointments within a week. All work was professionally accomplished with no pain. I highly recommend Tolley Dental. I will surely be using them for all of my future dental work.

After moving to Virginia, I was nervous to start over in a new city and find a dentist I like. Tolley Dental met all expectations. They were kind, gentle, communicative, thorough, and conservative in their approach. A perfect fit for me!

I have never seen anything like this. I feel sure there isn't enough space here to tell you what I have been though with this Dental Office so I will give you the long and short. Do not trust them when they tell you that they got Insurance Authorization, because they never called. They only checked to make sure you had it and guessed at what the Insurance would pay and you pay the difference that day and then they overbill your insurance company but the insurance company sends an explanation of benefits to me and the Dentist pointing out the agreed contract amount that the Dentist is allowed to charge so they have to write off the overbill and in so doing I over paid $5,534.00. This happened in September and for months I have called and called and could not get anyone to call me back over the overpayment finally I called their other office and got someone to talk to me. This was from September to March I tried to get someone to answer me. I have left messages for the Dentist themselves to call me back to no avail. I have received a partial credit but not in full and still no one calls me back. I said all of this to tell you if you have insurance you better call your insurance company yourself and not trust they did. My insurance declined a lot and had I known I could have waited to have the work done a few more months later and it would have been covered but I wasn't given that option. I find it so hard to believe a Dental Practice operates like this.

The staff was very nice and professional. Unfortunately I needed sedation for my procedure and they do not do that even though the young lady on the phone told me they do. I was given a referral to smiles of Va here in Winchester and I do have an upcoming appointment to be seen to talk about sedation with them. Dr Tolley office was very helpful, kind, and patient with me.

My daughter chipped her front tooth, and as a mother I was incredibly nervous about the whole process. Dr. Mather immediately put both of us at ease and made us feel completely comfortable from the moment we walked in. He did an amazing job placing bonding on her tooth—it looks phenomenal and matches her original tooth perfectly. I’m so grateful for the care and attention he gave us. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Mathur to anyone I know.

Dr. Tolley is a great dentist. Just saw him the other day. Sam his hygienist was excellent. Very patient, respectful and knowledgeable. I enjoyed being with her. Dr. Tolley came in to check on me and spent a long time with discussing not only my dental concerns but asked about my family. I had a dental emergency and they accommodated me to get into the office. I was worried about what to expect, but everyone was very friendly and helpful!

They have very good service. They handled my routine dental cleaning gently and with care, and they were very helpful with handling my files from my previous dentist.

Everyone from the office staff, the dental assistants and the dentist provided phenomenal care. Everything was explained in detail and not at all rushed. I had any and all questions answered. I can’t say enough good things about this practice!

I moved here from the Washington, D.C. area, and worried about finding a good dentist. Needlessly, it turns out. Tolley has exceeded my expectations and previous experiences, with care that is more up-to-date than I'm used to (ultrasonic wand replaces scraping, imaging replaces dental impressions for a night guard), the most pain-free treatment I've ever experienced (and I'm 68, veteran of many procedures), no upsell of aesthetic services, and a staff that's warm, friendly, and efficient. I could not be happier with my new dentist, and recommend Tolley enthusiastically to anybody in the greater Winchester area.

Dr. Tolley always calls to check on me following any significant treatment (such as an extraction and/or implant) and even followed up to make sure I was ok following treatment at another provider for a root canal. If you have been waiting to find the perfect dental office look no further. I had not been to the dentist in several years and was extremely nervous about going back. After moving to the area I saw a billboard for Tolley Dental that advertised general and cosmetic dentistry which is what I was looking for. I called to make an appointment but found out they didn't take my insurance but were working on a contract with them. I was surprised to get a call a few days later letting me know they were able to get the contract for my dental insurance and set up an appointment in a few weeks. When you first walk into the office it is open and welcoming. The desk staff greet you and get you checked in quickly. I was quickly taken back by Sam who is AMAZING! She explained everything throughout the exam and cleaning so I understood how I needed to care for my teeth and why it was so important. I was seen by Dr. Mitra who is also AMAZING! She worked with the lab to create a beautiful new set of veneers that look completely natural. Dr. Mitra and her staff/assistance are so kind, walk you through every step, and make sure you feel comfortable. Additionally when they set up my treatment plan they explained the entire process, broke down the cost and didn't make me feel like I had to make a decision immediately or push me into anything. After all of my appointments Dr. Mitra always checked in to make sure everything was going well and made sure I didn't have any questions. I can't thank Dr. Mitra enough for giving me a perfect smile! I am so beyond happy I found Tolley Dental and Dr. Mitra. I know this is a long review for a dental office but it really is worth it! Going to the dentist can be very stressful for a lot of people and they have done everything to make going to the dentist easy.

Dr Ben Tolly and his staff are the best! They are all “Superheroes”!

I had not been to the dentist since 1998 due to a horrific experience with the dentist I had at the time (I was 14-15 years old). Fast forward to this year, I was resigned to the fact I had to go because I had a broken tooth and teeth that I knew needed fillings. My friend recommended Tolley because she also had extreme fear and anxiety of dentists. I'm glad I listened to her! My first hygienist, Beth, was so calm and reassuring. She checked in with me over and over to make sure I was OK and not feeling pain. She explained everything clearly and concisely. Dr. Westover performed my exam and showed me each tooth that needed a filling as well as what my options were after the broken tooth was extracted. She referred me to Winchester Oral Surgery since I requested to be sedated for the extraction. Her "bedside" manner is impeccable! She never pressured me to do something I didn't want to do. You can tell she's had many many years of experience because her dental skills are light and quick. I came back today for my fillings and Kim was so personable and knowledgeable! She put my mind at ease before the procedure. Dr. Westover again made everything seamless, efficient, and quick. By the time she said I was done, I was shocked because I thought it would take so much longer. I couldn't believe that the numbing shots didn't hurt at all! I didn't even feel them! I will continue to book all dental appointments with Tolley specifically with Dr. Westover and her team. ☺️
